According
to His Mercy
Titus 3:5
Hebraic-Roots Version “New
Testament”[1]
“Not by works of
righteousness which we did , but according to his own mercy, He gave us life by
the washing of the new birth, and by renewing of the Ruach Ha Kodesh.”
The Scriptures[2]
“He saved us, not by works of righteousness
which we have done, but according to His compassion, through the washing of
rebirth, and renewal by the set apart Spirit.”
The Complete Jewish Bible
“New Testament” [3]
he delivered us. It was not on the ground of any righteous deeds we
had done, but on the ground of his own mercy. He did it by means of the mikveh of rebirth and the renewal brought about by the Ruach HaKodesh,[4]
Golden Nuggets:
Mikveh, the Jewish ritual bath, renders Greek loutron,
“washing,” found in the New Testament only here and at Ep 5:26&N. The
reference is clearly to immersion (baptism); see Mt 3:1N[5]
He delivered us! We could not deliver ourselves, our works could not deliver us,
only His compassion and mercy found in Messiah Yeshua was able to deliver us
and through the Mikva of rebirth, to cleanse us and make us righteous in Him.
I praise and thank you today for delivering me
from the darkness that I was walking in.
Thank you for loving me so much that you sent Yeshua to pay the price
for my sins. I praise you YHWH for the love you have shown me and for giving me
your Holy Torah/Word that I might walk in a way that is pleasing to you.
