A New
Creation In Him
11 Corinthians
5:17,18,21
Hebraic-Roots Version “New
Testament”[1]
“Everyone who is
in Messiah is therefore a renewed creation.
Old things have passed away and everything has become renewed from Eloah
who reconciled us to himself by the Messiah, and has given us the service of
reconciliation.”
“For him who had
not known sin, because of you, he has made (to bear your) sin that we might
become by him the righteousness of Eloah”
The Scriptures[2]
“Therefore if
anyone is in Messiah he is a renewed creature- the old matters have passed away
see all matters have become renewed.
And all matters are from Elohim who has restored us to favor with
Himself through Yeshua Messiah and has give us the service of restoration and
favor.”
“For He made Him
who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the
righteousness of Elohim”
The Complete Jewish Bible
“New Testament” [3]
17 Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah,
he is a new creation—the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new! 18
And it is all from God, who through the Messiah has reconciled us to
himself and has given us the work of that reconciliation,
21 God made this sinless man be a sin
offering on our behalf, so that in union with him we might fully share in God’s
righteousness.”
Golden Nuggets:
From The Jewish New Testament Commentary
If anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation. This verse is sometimes adduced to show that Jewish believers are no longer Jewish—because the old has passed. But Sha’ul is not talking about whether Messianic Jews are Jewish. He is talking about the fact that believers are now reconciled with God. Their old, unreconciled, sinful lives have passed into history. But they remain human beings with human characteristics and associations; they do not become abstract entities, divorced from their past. For evidence see Ro 11:13&N, Ga 2:13&N; also Ac 13:9N, Ga 3:28[4]
You are a “New Creation”
In Messiah, the old sinful self has passed away, it is dead you have a new life
now, you have the very life of G-d living within you by the Ruach Ha Kodesh
because of what Messiah did for you.
If you were Jewish when
you accepted Messiah Yeshua then you still are Jewish in Messiah, your
Jewishness did not pass away, only the old sinful life did and you are now
walking in the righteousness of G-d.
If you are not Jewish you
have been grafted into the Olive Tree and now are a part of Israel and can
partake of the blessings of Israel through Messiah and be joined with your
Jewish brothers as One Stick in His Hand.
