Haftarah –11
Samuel 22:1-51
Brit Chadasha- Romans
10:17-11:12, Romans 12:19, 15:9-10
Deu 32:1
Give ear, you heavens, and I will speak. Let the earth hear the words of
my mouth.
Deu 32:2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain. My
speech shall condense as the dew, as the small rain on the tender grass, as the
showers on the herb.
Deu 32:3 For I will proclaim the name of the LORD.
Ascribe greatness to our God!
Deu 32:4 The Rock, his work is perfect, for
all his ways are justice: a God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and
right is he.
2Sa 22:1 David spoke to the LORD the words of this
song in the day that the LORD delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies,
and out of the hand of Sha'ul:
2Sa 22:2 and he said, The LORD is my rock, my
fortress, and my deliverer, even mine;
2Sa 22:3 God, my rock, in him I will take
refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My
savior, you save me from violence.
2Sa 22:4 I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be
praised: So shall I be saved from my enemies.
2Sa 22:5 For the waves of death surrounded me. The
floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
2Sa 22:6 The cords of She'ol were around me. The
snares of death caught me.
2Sa 22:7 In my distress I called on the LORD. Yes, I called to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry [came] into his ears.
Who is “The
Rock”? Yeshua, is the Rock of our
Salvation, the same Rock that was in the wilderness and followed the children of
Israel providing them with Living Water/Mayim Hayim. In the dark days we live in, we must remember our only safety,
our only security the only thing that will stand the test is if we have built
our house upon The Rock, Yeshua Ha Mashiach/Jesus The Messiah. He is to be the cornerstone of everything
we build upon, He is our strength and our salvation, there is no other Name
that we can call upon to save us. Is
He your God, your Rock, your Fortress, your Shield, the horn of your salvation,
your High Tower and Your Refuge? Build
your house upon THE ROCK and when the storms of life come, you will stand In Him.
Verses to ponder:
Isa 28:16 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD,
"Behold, I lay in Tziyon for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a
precious cornerstone of a sure foundation. He who believes shall not act
hastily.
Isa 32:1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness,
and princes shall rule in justice.
Isa 32:2 A man shall be as a hiding place from the
wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as
the shade of a large rock in a weary land.
Isa 32:3 The
eyes of those who see will not be dim, and the ears of those who hear will
listen.
1Co 10:1 Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers,
that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
1Co 10:2 and were all immersed into Moshe in the
cloud and in the sea;
1Co 10:3 and all ate the same spiritual food;
1Co 10:4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For
they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Messiah.
1Pe 2:5 You also, as living stones, are built up
as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual
sacrifices, acceptable to God through Yeshua the Messiah.
1Pe 2:6 Because it is contained in Scripture, "Behold,
I lay in Tziyon a chief cornerstone, chosen, and precious: He who believes in
him will not be disappointed."
