Quote Of The Day:

F.F. Bosworth – “Christ The Healer”

“Paul tells us that “In Him”  all the promises of God are yea and amen, which another way of saying that all the promises of God, including His promise to heal, owe their existence and power exclusively to the redeeming work of Christ”

Deborah’s Drash Commentary:

Healing – Our Brit Birket/Covenant Blessing

14 Hebrew and Greek Words That Refer to Bodily Healing[2]

#2 Marpay

The Hebrew word MARPAY is translated

1.      healing - Jer. 14:19, Mal 4:2

2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

  Mal 4:2 (KJV)

                        2 .health - Prov. 4:22, Prov 12:18, Prov 13:17, Prov. 16:24, Jer. 8:15

We need to meditate and hide His Torah/Word in our heart regarding healing.   We  need to pray His healing promises the same way we take medicine the doctors gives us so that His Word will bring health to us spirit, soul and body.  We need to make an effort to put that word inside of us, to listen to what His word is saying and keep His promises within our hearts.   What are the results of doing this?  Health to ALL OUR FLESH.

20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

  Prov 4:20-23 (KJV)

18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

  Prov 12:18 (KJV)

17 A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.

  Prov 13:17 (KJV)

24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

  Prov 16:24 (KJV)

2.      cure - Jer. 33:6

6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

7 And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

  Jer 33:6-8 (KJV)

3.      sound in health - Prov. 14:30

A heart that is full of His Word is a sound heart.   Webster’s Dictionary – Sound, free from injury or disease exhibiting normal health.

30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

  Prov 14:30 (KJV)

                        6. wholesome - Prov. 15:4

Will Adonai’s eyes see us speaking forth His Word in faith regarding our healing, or will He hear us speaking words of doubt and unbelief

3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

  Prov 15:3-4 (KJV)

In the Torah Yahweh made a Covenant of Healing with Israel and all those who desired or chose to come under the covenant of God as given to Moses.

26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

  Ex 15:26 (KJV)

24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

  Ex 23:24-25 (KJV)

This Covenant was in 2 parts

          1. Commands

A.     Diligently hearken to God’s voice (Exodus 15:26, Leviticus26:14-15

B.     Do that which is right in His sight (Exodus

C.     Keep all His statutes

D.     Serve the Lord

            2. Promises

A.     I will put none of theses diseases upon thee

B.     I am the Lord that healeth thee

C.     I will take away sickness from the midst of thee

This Brit/covenant of healing was made a part of the Brit HaDasha/New Covenant, for Messiah “Took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses”

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

  Isaiah 53:4-5 (KJV)

16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

  Matt 8:16-17 (KJV)

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

  1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)

The Universal state of health in the nation of Israel continued as long as Yahweh’s conditions were met.

God wants His people well!

Messiah came to bring healing and deliverance to His people!
