Quote Of The Day:
F.F.
Bosworth ‘Christ The Healer
“The two
outstanding possessions to be restored during the Gospel era are health for
soul & body – forgiveness and healing.
Christ preached “The acceptable Year of The Lord” in order that the
“Inner” and “Outer” man might be whole and ready for the service of God so they
can finish their course. “
“ Paul tells
us that “In Him” all the promises of God are yea and amen, which is another way
of saying that all the promises of God, including His promise to heal, owe
their existence and power exclusively to the redeeming work of Christ.”
Deborah’s Drash Commentary:
Yeshua Bore Our Sickness and Sins
Healing is in
the atonement
Isaiah 53:4
“Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and
carried our sorrows and pains (of punishment), yet we (ignorantly) considered
Him stricken, smitten and afflicted by God (as if with leprosy).”
Vs. 5 But He
was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and
iniquities; the chastisement (needful to obtain) peace and well-being for us
was upon Him, and with the stripes (that wounded) Him we are healed and made
whole”
The Amplified
Bible
The word “Borne” means to
lift up, to bear away, to convey or to remove to a distance.
It is a Levitical word and
applies to the scapegoat that bare away the sins of the people.
Leviticus
16:15-22
15 Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the
bullock, and sprinkle it
upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:
16 And he shall make
an atonement for the holy place,
because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their
transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the
congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.
17 And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation
when he goeth in to make an
atonement in the holy place,
until he come out, and have made an atonement
for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
18 And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD,
and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it
upon the horns of the altar round about.
19 And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon
it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the
uncleanness of the children of Israel.
20 And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place,
and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live
goat:
21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat,
and confess over him all the
iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their
sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by
the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
22 And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land
not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
Lev 16:15-22 (KJV)
Messiahs Blood was sprinkled on the
mercy seat when he assended into Heaven.
That Blood is forever upon the Mercy Seat as an atonement for our sins
and sicknesses.
According to Dakes Study Bible notes
“The 2 goats completed the one type
of Messiah/Christ in His work of death
and resurrection. One alone could not
do this because being killed would make it impossible for an animal to
represent the resurrection as when it was taken into the wildnerness. If Messiah/Christ had died and remained dead
His atoning would have been in vain. It
was the resurrection that made it effective.
Romans 4:25
25 Yeshua,
who was delivered over to death because of our offences and raised to life in
order to make us righteous.[2]
1 Cor. 15:1-23
15 1 Now,
brothers, I must remind you of the Good News which I proclaimed to you, and which
you received, and on which you have taken your stand, 2 and by which
you are being saved—provided you keep holding fast to the message I proclaimed
to you. For if you don’t, your trust will have been in vain. 3 For
among the first things I passed on to you was what I also received, namely
this: the Messiah died for our sins, in accordance with what the Tanakh
says; 4 and he was buried; and he was raised on the third day, in
accordance with what the Tanakh says; 5 and he was seen by
Kefa, then by the Twelve; 6 and afterwards he was seen by more than
five hundred brothers at one time, the majority of whom are still alive, though
some have died. 7 Later he was seen by Ya‘akov, then by all the
emissaries; 8 and last of all he was seen by me, even though I was
born at the wrong time. 9 For I am the least of all the emissaries,
unfit to be called an emissary, because I persecuted the Messianic Community of
God. 10 But by God’s grace I am what I am, and his grace towards me
was not in vain; on the contrary, I have worked harder than all of them,
although it was not I but the grace of God with me. 11 Anyhow,
whether I or they, this is what we proclaim, and this is what you believed.
12 But
if it has been proclaimed that the Messiah has been raised from the dead, how
is it that some of you are saying there is no such thing as a resurrection of
the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then the
Messiah has not been raised; 14 and if the Messiah has not been
raised, then what we have proclaimed is in vain; also your trust is in vain; 15
furthermore, we are shown up as false witnesses for God in having
testified that God raised up the Messiah, whom he did not raise if it is true
that the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised,
then the Messiah has not been raised either; 17 and if the Messiah
has not been raised, your trust is useless, and you are still in your sins. 18
Also, if this is the case, those who died in union with the Messiah are
lost. 19 If it is only for this life that we have put our hope in
the Messiah, we are more pitiable than anyone.[3]
20 But
the fact is that the Messiah has been raised from the dead, the
firstfruits of those who have died. 21 For since death came through
a man, also the resurrection of the dead has come through a man. 22 For
just as in connection with Adam all die, so in connection with the Messiah all
will be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: the Messiah is the
firstfruits; then those who belong to the Messiah, at the time of his coming; [4]
Col. 3:1
1 So
if you were raised along with the Messiah, then seek the things above, where
the Messiah is sitting at the right hand of God.[5]
Heb 4:14-16
14 Therefore,
since we have a great cohen gadol who has passed through to the highest
heaven, Yeshua, the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we acknowledge as
true. 15 For we do not have a cohen gadol unable to empathize
with our weaknesses; since in every respect he was tempted just as we are, the
only difference being that he did not sin. 16 Therefore, let us
confidently approach the throne from which God gives grace, so that we may
receive mercy and find grace in our time of need.[6]
Hebrews 6:20
0 where
a forerunner has entered on our behalf, namely, Yeshua, who has become a cohen
gadol forever, to be compared with Malki-Tzedek.[7]
Hebrews 7:11-25
11 But when the Messiah appeared as cohen gadol
of the good things that are happening already, then, through the greater and
more perfect Tent which is not man-made (that is, it is not of this created
world), 12 he entered the Holiest Place once and for all.
And he entered not by
means of the blood of goats and calves, but by means of his own blood, thus
setting people free forever. 13 For if
sprinkling ceremonially unclean persons with the blood of goats and bulls and
the ashes of a heifer restores their outward purity; 14 then how
much more the blood of the Messiah, who, through the eternal Spirit, offered
himself to God as a sacrifice without blemish, will purify our conscience from
works that lead to death, so that we can serve the living God!
15 It is because of this death
that he is mediator of a new covenant [or will].Because a death
has occurred which sets people free from the transgressions committed under the
first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promised eternal
inheritance. 16 For where there is a will, there must necessarily be
produced evidence of its maker’s death, 17 since a will goes into
effect only upon death; it never has force while its maker is still alive.
18 This is why the first covenant
too was inaugurated with blood. 19 After Moshe had proclaimed every
command of the Torah to all the people, he took the blood of the calves
with some water and used scarlet wool and hyssop to sprinkle both the scroll
itself and all the people; 20 and he said, “This is the blood of
the covenant which God has ordained for you.” 21 Likewise, he
sprinkled with the blood both the Tent and all the things used in its
ceremonies. 22 In fact, according to the Torah, almost
everything is purified with blood; indeed, without the shedding of blood there
is no forgiveness of sins.
23 Now this is how the copies of
the heavenly things had to be purified, but the heavenly things themselves
require better sacrifices than these. 24 For the Messiah has entered
a Holiest Place which is not man-made and merely a copy of the true one, but
into heaven itself, in order to appear now on our behalf in the very presence
of God.
25 Further,
he did not enter heaven to offer himself over and over again, like the cohen
hagadol who enters the Holiest Place year after year with blood that is not
his own; 26 for then he would have had to suffer death many
times—from the founding of the universe on. But as it is, he has appeared once
at the end of the ages in order to do away with sin through the sacrifice of
himself. 27 Just as human beings have to die once, but after this
comes judgment, 28 so also the Messiah, having been offered once to
bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to
deliver those who are eagerly waiting for him.[8]
Hebrews 9:24-28
24 For the Messiah has entered a Holiest Place which
is not man-made and merely a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, in
order to appear now on our behalf in the very presence of God.
25 Further,
he did not enter heaven to offer himself over and over again, like the cohen
hagadol who enters the Holiest Place year after year with blood that is not
his own; 26 for then he would have had to suffer death many
times—from the founding of the universe on. But as it is, he has appeared once
at the end of the ages in order to do away with sin through the sacrifice of
himself. 27 Just as human beings have to die once, but after this
comes judgment, 28 so also the Messiah, having been offered once to
bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to
deliver those who are eagerly waiting for him.[9]
1 Peter 1:3
3 Praised
be God, Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who, in keeping with his great
mercy, has caused us, through the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah from the
dead, to be born again to a living hope,[10]
1 Peter 3:21-22
21 This
also prefigures what delivers us now, the water of immersion, which is not the
removal of dirt from the body, but one’s pledge to keep a good conscience
toward God, through the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah. 22 He
has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God,with angels,
authorities and powers subject to him.[11]
Yeshua was the “Scapegoat” for our sins and for our sicknesses and
now Yeshua is our High Priest/
cohen gadol
22 And the goat shall bear upon him all
their iniquities
unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
Lev 16:22 (KJV)
“Shall bear upon”
Matthew 8:16-17
16 When evening came, many people held in the power of
demons were brought to him. He expelled the spirits with a word and healed all
who were ill. 17 This was done to fulfill what had been spoken through
the prophet Yeshayahu,
“He himself took
our weaknesses
and bore our diseases”[12]
1 Peter 2:24
24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the stake,so
that we might die to sins and live for righteousness—by his wounds you were
healed.“For you used to be like sheep gone astray, but now you have
turned tothe Shepherd, who watches over you.[13]
Yeshua “bore” my sins and sickness away
“without the camp” on the execution stake/cross. Sin and sickness have passed from me to the “scapegoat” a type
of Messiah. Yeshua took away our sins
and sickness’s. If somebody takes
something away from you then it is no longer yours! So stop trying to take back the sin and sickness that Yeshua
already redeemed you from.
“Borne”
(NASA) and “Carried” (SABAL) are both the same and are used in Vs. 11 & 12
for the substitionary bearing of sin, “He shall bear (carry) their iniquities”
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be
satisfied: by his knowledge shall
my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and
he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul
unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made
intercession for the transgressors.
Isaiah 53:11-12 (KJV)
Both words
signify to assume a heavy burden and denote actual substitution and a complete
removal of the things borne.
Yeshua “Bore”
away/removed our sickness and pains “Substitution-one bearing anothers load.
Dr.
Isaac Leeser – Hebrew-English Bible on Isaiah 53
Vs.3 “He was dispised and
shunned by men, a man of pains and acquainted with disease.
Vs.4 “But only our diseases
did he bear himself and our pains he carried.
Vs. 5 “And through his
bruises was healing granted to us.
Vs.10”But the Lord was
pleased to crush him through disease
In the KJV according to F.F. Bosworth
in his book “Christ the Healer” the words griefs and sorrows are incorrectly
translated.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and
carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isaiah 53:4 (KJV)
Vs. 4 –Hebrew –Choli and Makab have
been incorrectly translated as “griefs” and “Sorrows”[i]
The correct translation should be:
Choli – disease/sickness
Makab-pains
Isaiah 53:4
“Surely He has borne our griefs/CHOLI
(sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows/MAKAB and pains (of punishment), yet we (ignorantly) considered
Bible
In Isaiah 53:4-5 we see Yeshua Ha Mashiach dying for:
Our sicknesses
Our Pains
Our Transgressions
Our Iniquities
Our Peace
Our Healing for “By His Stripes we are healed”
To
say that healing is not for today, is the same thing as saying salvation is not
for today! Yeshua is the same Yesterday
, Today and Forever. Healing has always
been a part of the blood atonement , healing and deliverance is in the Blood
atonement of Yeshua/Jesus, the same way forgiveness of sin is in the blood
atonement of Yeshua/Jesus.
If Salvation is for
anyone who would call upon the name of Yeshua, so is healing!
