Quote Of The Day:

John G. Lake – Evangelist

“ God does heal today.  Christ healed all that came to him 2000 years ago.  He is still willing to heal all who come asking.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever.”

Deborah’s Drash Commentary:

Psalm 23 and The Redemption Names of Yahweh

The Lord is my Shepherd (to feed, guide and shield me)

He is Yahweh Rohi – My Shepherd

As His sheep He gently leads us and guides us with His Word and His love.  He  laid down His life for us, so we could walk free from sin, sickness and lack.  He is the lamb of God who took away our sins and sicknesses.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

  John 10:11-16 (KJV)

I shall not lack

He is Yahweh-Jirah- “The Lord will provide”  an offering

Messiah was our offering and provided for our complete redemption which includes healing

We will not lack in any area including healing if we trust His Word and rest in His promises.  Trusting and Resting in His arms of love.

1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

  Eph 5:1-2 (KJV)

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

  Romans 8:32 (KJV)

He makes me lie down in (fresh, tender) green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.

He is Yahweh Shalom – “The Lord My Peace”

Messiah gave us His Shalom/Peace

Even in the midst of our trials, He is there to cause us to walk in His Peace.  When we hear a bad report, we do not have to fear, because Yahweh is greater than any bad report, His word is true, Let Yahweh be true and every man a lier.

3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

  Romans 3:3-4 (KJV)

To believe His Word is to walk in His peace, knowing that He will do what He said he will do, ‘heal us of all our diseases”.  Refuse to fear, do not listen to the doubts and lies of the enemy, only believe His Word.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  John 14:27 (KJV)

He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness (uprightness and right standing with Him)-not for my earning it, but for His name sake.

He is Yahweh Tsidkenu –‘The Lord My Righteousness”

Messiah became our righteousness by bearing our sins on the cross

His salvation refreshes and restores our life and He gives us His Righteousness, it is a gift. In the same way healing is a gift, it has nothing to do with us but the giver who is Yahweh.  Healing is a good and perfect gift that Adonai has already given you, all you have to do is take it, you can not earn healing it is already yours the same way salvation is already yours, you receive it the same way you received your salvation believe, confess and receive.

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

  Romans 10:9-11 (KJV)

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

  James 1:17 (KJV)

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

  1 Cor 1:30 (KJV)

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

  Romans 5:17-21 (KJV)

Yes, though I walk through the (deep, sunless) valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod (to protect) and Your staff (to guide) they comfort me.

He is Yahweh Shammah – “The Lord is there”

He is there to save, He is there to deliver, He is there to heal

Messiah said He is with us always

Even when there are times when you do not feel his presence, He is still there with you for He said He would be with us always and that He would never leave us nor forsake us.  He is the physician by our bedside, He is our medicine as we take in His word, We are protected by His blood that is upon the lintels of our heart, He is the Word we read at night and He is there listening to every prayer and every word we say during the day.   He wipes our tears, He holds our hand and leads us to victory, He hold us in the palm of His hand.

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

  Psalms 27:1 (KJV)

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

  Matt 28:18-20 (KJV)

7 Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

  Psalms 32:7 (KJV)

114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

  Psalms 119:114 (KJV)

17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

  Rev 7:17 (KJV)

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

  Ex 12:13 (KJV)

His Rod is His Torah/Word that protects us and shows us the way to walk Holy before Him all the days of our lives.

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

  Psalms 119:105 (KJV)

His Staff is the Ruach HaKodesh who guides and comforts us

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

  John 14:16-26 (KJV)

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

  John 15:27 (KJV)

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

  John 16:7-15 (KJV)

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.  You anoint my head with oil; my (brimming ) cup runs over.

His is Yahweh Nissi – “The Lord my Banner” or “Victor” or “Captain”

Our Kiddush cup (The cup of blessing) overflows with His blessings and His Annointing

Messiah triumphed over principalities and powers so through the atonement we have the redemptive privilege of saying “thanks be unto Yahweh which giveth us the victory through our Messiah Yeshua.

He is our victory over sin, sickness and lack

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

  Col 2:10-15 (KJV)

14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

  2 Cor 2:14 (KJV)

Surely only goodness, mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord (and His presence) shall be my dwelling place.

Only goodness, mercy and love follow us!

We are to dwell in His presence daily by prayer, praise and worship and studying His Torah/Word.

11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

  Psalms 16:11 (KJV)

2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

  Psalms 100:2 (KJV)

13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

  Psalms 140:13 (KJV)

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  Romans 8:29-39 (KJV)
