1 John 1:9 Complete Jewish Bible

9 If we acknowledge our sins, then, since he is trustworthy and just, he will forgive them and purify us from all wrongdoing.[2]

 Quote Of The Day:

Eddie Chumney “The Seven Festivals of Messiah”

“The festivals of the L-rd found in Leviticus 23/Vayikra  were given to us by G-d so His people could understand the coming of the Messiah/Moshiach and the role that Messiah/Moshiach would play in redeeming and restoring both man and the earth back to G-d following the fall of man in the Garden of Eden (Gan Eden).  Although most non-Jewish Bible believers have heard of the feasts, the deep meaning and the importance of these feasts are almost universally not understood.”

Deborah’s Drash Commentary:

Understanding the Passover/Pesach Season[3]

God's Commandments (Mitzvot) for Passover (Pesach)

  1. Passover was the beginning of months (Exodus [Shemot] 12:2).

Exo 12:2  This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

Spiritual Application (Halacha). Nisan is the first month of the religious calendar. Receiving Yeshua into our lives is the beginning of a New Covenant (Brit Hadashah) relationship with G-d

Jeremiah [Yermiyahu] 31:31-33; KJV

Jer 31:31  Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Jer 31:32  Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

Jer 31:33  But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

John [Yochanan] 3:5-7; KJV

Joh 3:5  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Joh 3:6  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Joh 3:7  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John/Yochanan 3:5-7 Complete Jewish Bible

5 Yeshua answered, “Yes, indeed, I tell you that unless a person is born from water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. 6 What is born from the flesh is flesh, and what is born from the Spirit is spirit. 7 Stop being amazed at my telling you that you must be born again from above! 8 The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it’s going. That’s how it is with everyone who has been born from the Spirit.”[4]

Romans 6:1-4; KJV

Rom 6:1  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Rom 6:2  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Rom 6:3  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Rom 6:4  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:1-4 Complete Jewish Bible

1 So then, are we to say, “Let’s keep on sinning, so that there can be more grace”? 2 Heaven forbid! How can we, who have died to sin, still live in it? 3 Don’t you know that those of us who have been immersed into the Messiah Yeshua have been immersed into his death? 4 Through immersion into his death we were buried with him; so that just as, through the glory of the Father, the Messiah was raised from the dead, likewise we too might live a new life[5]

 2 Corinthians 5:17). KJV

2Co 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Complete Jewish Bible

7 Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation—the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new![6]

Passover is the first of the feasts. Likewise, repenting of our sins (teshuvah) and believing in the shed blood of Yeshua is our first step in our walk (halacha) with G-d.

The Work of Yeshua – A Passover Guide Batya Wootten

The shadowy days of Passover and First Fruits fortold the death and resurrection of the Lamb of God.  Passover depicted His sacrifice on our behalf, by which He took away our sins.  First fruits foretold His being the first to be raised from the dead. On theses days Y’shua was working. He was canceling out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us.  He was diligently disarming rulers and authorities and making a public display of them.  He was working-He was beginning to bring in the sheaves that are His people.

John 1:29

29   The next day John saw Jesus coming to him and said, Look! There is the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world![7]

Coloossians 2:14-15

14  Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside and cleared completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross.

15    [God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].[8]

Psalms 126:6

He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed,

Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.[9]

These two feasts days foretell the “work of Y’shua”.  The Father said of His Firstborn, who is Y’shua, “My covenant shall be confirmed to him.  So  I will establish his seed forever”

Psalm 89:28-29

28“My lovingkindness I will keep for him forever,

And My covenant shall be confirmed to him.

29“So I will establish his descendants forever

And his throne as the days of heaven.[10]

In fulfillment of this promise Y’shua has myriads of children who will live eternally.  They are children for whom He travailed in labor.

Luke 22:44

44  And being in an agony [of mind], He prayed [all the] more earnestly and intently, and His sweat became like great clots of blood dropping down upon the ground.[11]

His was  a painful, hard labor that was culminated on the cross.  It also was a labor of love, destined to give birth to a new creation.  It was a labor so painful that He died from it.  Y’shua died to give birth to the sons of righteousness.

John 1:12

12  But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—[12]

1 John 3:9

9  No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.[13]

1 Peter 1:23

23 You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God.[14]

Phillipians 1:6

6  And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.[15]

Acts 12:40-41

40  Take care, therefore, lest there come upon you what is spoken in the prophets:

41    Look, you scoffers and scorners, and marvel and perish and vanish away; for I am doing a deed in your days, a deed which you will never have confidence in or believe, [even] if someone [clearly describing it in detail] declares it to you[16]

It is said that every person who celebrates The Passover, should celebrate as if it was himself that was delivered from the bondage and slavery of Egypt that night.  As we celebrate Messiah in the Passover, we need to give thanks to Him for delivering us from our sins and from our cruel task master ha Satan.   It is a time to celebrate our new spiritual birth into the Kingdom.   To celebrate His great love for us.
