Meditation Verse

Collosians 1:13 Amplified Bible

13  [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,[2]

 Quote Of The Day:

Rabbi Alfred J. Kalatch “The Concise Family Seder”

Passover has a message for the conscience and the heart of all mankind.  It commemorates the deliverance of a people from degrading slavery, from cruel and inhuman tyranny.”

Deborah’s Drash Commentary:

Yeshua delivered us from the degrading slavery and from the cruel inhuman tyranny of ha satan/The Advesary.  The Spring feasts celebrate what Yeshua has done for us as the Passover Lamb, the Sinless/Unleaven Bread of Life, The Resurrected Messiah the  First Fruits of the Ressurection.    Through Him we have been given Eternal Life, we have been made Righteous, A new Creation, Holy, A Priesthood and much much more.   Meditate on these verses for this is what Messiah has done for you!

Part 1

Romans 6:8            “ Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him.”

Rom 6:8  And since your old sin-loving nature "died" with Christ, we know that you will share his new life.  (TLB)

8 Now since we died with the Messiah, we trust that we will also live with him. [3] (CJB)

Romans 8:32 -       “ He who did not withhold or spare (even) His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all (other ) things.”  (AMP.)

Rom 8:32  He did not spare his own Son but gave him for us all. So with Jesus, God will surely give us all things. (NCV)

32 He who did not spare even his own Son, but gave him up on behalf of us all—is it possible that, having given us his Son, he would not give us everything else too?[4] (CJB)

Romans 6:4            “ We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious (power) of the  Father, so we too might habitually live and behave in newness of life” (AMP)

Rom 6:4  Your old sin-loving nature was buried with him by baptism when he died; and when God the Father, with glorious power, brought him back to life again, you were given his wonderful new life to enjoy.  (TLB)

Rom 6:4  When we were baptized, we were buried with Christ and shared his death. So, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the wonderful power of the Father, we also can live a new life.  (NCV)

Through immersion into his death we were buried with him; so that just as, through the glory of the Father, the Messiah was raised from the dead, likewise we too might live a new life[5] (CJB)

Romans 6:6            “ We know that our old (unrenewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that (our) body (which is the instrument) of sin, might be made ineffective and inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin.” (AMP)

Rom 6:6  Your old evil desires were nailed to the cross with him; that part of you that loves to sin was crushed and fatally wounded, so that your sin-loving body is no longer under sin's control, no longer needs to be a slave to sin; ( TLB)

Rom 6:6  We know that our old life died with Christ on the cross so that our sinful selves would have no power over us and we would not be slaves to sin. ( NCV)

6 We know that our old self was put to death on the execution-stake with him, so that the entire body of our sinful propensities might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin. [6] (CJB)

Colosians 3:1         “ If you have then been raised with Christ (to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead) aim at and seek the (rich, eternal treasures) that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God”  (AMP)

Col 3:1  Since you became alive again, so to speak, when Christ arose from the dead, now set your sights on the rich treasures and joys of heaven where he sits beside God in the place of honor and power. (TLB)

Col 3:1  Since you were raised from the dead with Christ, aim at what is in heaven, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God.( NCV)

Col 3:1  Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. ( NIV)

1 So if you were raised along with the Messiah, then seek the things above, where the Messiah is sitting at the right hand of God[7] (CJB)

Colosians 3:3         “ For (as far as this world is concerned) you have died, and your (real

life) is hid with Christ in God.” (AMP)

Col 3:3  You should have as little desire for this world as a dead person does. Your real life is in heaven with Christ and God.  (TLB)

Col 3:3  For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. (NIV)

3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God.[8] (CJB)

Colosians 2: 20-21           “ If then you have died with Christ to material ways of looking at things and have escaped from the worlds crude and  elemental notions and teachings of esternalism, why do you live as if you still belong to the world? Why do you submit to rules and regulations? (such as) do not handle (this) do not taste (that) do not even touch (them). (AMP)

Col 2:20  Since you died, as it were, with Christ and this has set you free from following the world's ideas of how to be saved--by doing good and obeying various rules--why do you keep right on following them anyway, still bound by such rules as

Col 2:21  not eating, tasting, or even touching certain foods?  (TLB)

Col 2:20  Since you died with Christ and were made free from the ruling spirits of the world, why do you act as if you still belong to this world by following rules like these:

Col 2:21  "Don't eat this," "Don't taste that," "Don't even touch that thing"? (NCV)

Col 2:20  Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules:

Col 2:21  "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"? (NIV)

20 If, along with the Messiah, you died to the elemental spirits of the world, then why, as if you still belonged to the world, are you letting yourselves be bothered by its rules?— 21 “Don’t touch this!” “Don’t eat that!” “Don’t handle the other!”[9] (CJB)

John 15:4-5            “ Dwell in me and I will dwell in  you.  Live in me and I will live in you.  Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in me.  I am the vine, you are the branches  Whoever lives in me and I in him bears much abundant fruit.  However, apart from me - cut off from vital union with me - you can do nothing.”  (AMP)

John 15:4  Take care to live in me, and let me live in you. For a branch can't produce fruit when severed from the vine. Nor can you be fruitful apart from me.

John 15:5  "Yes, I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in me and I in him shall produce a large crop of fruit. For apart from me you can't do a thing. (TLB)

John 15:4  Remain in me, and I will remain in you. A branch cannot produce fruit alone but must remain in the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit alone but must remain in me.

John 15:5  "I am the vine, and you are the branches. If any remain in me and I remain in them, they produce much fruit. But without me they can do nothing(.NCV)

4 Stay united with me, as I will with you—for just as the branch can’t put forth fruit by itself apart from the vine, so you can’t bear fruit apart from me.

5 “I am the vine and you are the branches. Those who stay united with me, and I with them, are the ones who bear much fruit; because apart from me you can’t do a thing.[10] (CJB)

Ephesians 2:5       “ Even when we were dead (slain) by (our own) short comings and trespasses.  He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ, He gave us the very same new life with which He quickened Him, (for) it is by grace - by His favor and mercy which you did not deserve - that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Chirsits salvation).”  (AMP)

Eph 2:5  that even though we were spiritually dead and doomed by our sins, he gave us back our lives again when he raised Christ from the dead--only by his undeserved favor have we ever been saved-- (TLB)

Eph 2:5  Though we were spiritually dead because of the things we did against God, he gave us new life with Christ. You have been saved by God's grace.( NCV)

5 that, even when we were dead because of our acts of disobedience, he brought us to life along with the Messiah—it is by grace that you have been delivered.[11] (CJB)

Galatiens 2:20      “ I have been crucified with Christ (In Him) I have shred His crucifixion; it is non longer I who lives but Christ, the Messiah lives in me, and the life I now live in the body I live by faith - by adherence to and reliance on and (complete) trust in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”  (AMP)

Gal 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (TLB)

Gal 2:20  I was put to death on the cross with Christ, and I do not live anymore--it is Christ who lives in me. I still live in my body, but I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself to save me. (NCV)

20 When the Messiah was executed on the stake as a criminal, I was too; so that my proud ego no longer lives. But the Messiah lives in me, and the life I now live in my body I live by the same trusting faithfulness that the Son of God had, who loved me and gave himself up for me[12] (CJB)

Ephesians 1:10 “ With a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times that is the summing up of all things in Christ, things in heaven and things upon the Earth In Him.”

Eph 1:10  His goal was to carry out his plan, when the right time came, that all things in heaven and on earth would be joined together in Christ as the head. (NCV)

Eph 1:10  to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. (NIV)

10 and will put into effect when the time is ripe—his plan to place everything in heaven and on earth under the Messiah’s headship.[13] (CJB)

1 Cor. 15:22              For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive.”

1 Cor 15:22  Everyone dies because all of us are related to Adam, being members of his sinful race, and wherever there is sin, death results. But all who are related to Christ will rise again. (TLB)

1 Cor 15:22  In Adam all of us die. In the same way, in Christ all of us will be made alive again. (NCV)

1 Cor 15:22  For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. (NIV)

22 For just as in connection with Adam all die, so in connection with the Messiah all will be made alive[14] (CJB)

Galatians 3:26      “ For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.”

Gal 3:26  You were all baptized into Christ, and so you were all clothed with Christ. This means that you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. (NCV)

Gal 3:26  For now we are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ,( TLB)

26 For in union with the Messiah, you are all children of God through this trusting faithfulness; [15] (CJB)

11 Cor. 1:21 “ Now He who established us with you in Christ and anointed us is God.”

2 Cor 1:21  Remember, God is the One who makes you and us strong in Christ. God made us his chosen people. (NCV)

2 Cor 1:21  Remember, God is the One who makes you and us strong in Christ. God made us his chosen people. (NIV)

21 Moreover, it is God who sets both us and you in firm union with the Messiah; he has anointed us[16] (CJB)

11 Cor. 5:19            “ Namely that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”

2 Cor 5:19  For God was in Christ, restoring the world to himself, no longer counting men's sins against them but blotting them out. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. (TLB)

2 Cor 5:19  God was in Christ, making peace between the world and himself. In Christ, God did not hold the world guilty of its sins. And he gave us this message of peace. (NCV)

19 which is that God in the Messiah was reconciling mankind to himself, not counting their sins against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. [17] (CJB)

11 Cor. 3:14            “ But their minds, were  hardened for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, Because it is removed in Christ.”

2 Cor 3:14  Not only Moses' face was veiled, but his people's minds and understanding were veiled and blinded too. Even now when the Scripture is read it seems as though Jewish hearts and minds are covered by a thick veil, because they cannot see and understand the real meaning of the Scriptures. For this veil of misunderstanding can be removed only by believing in Christ. (TLB)

2 Cor 3:14  But their minds were closed, and even today that same covering hides the meaning when they read the old agreement. That covering is taken away only through Christ.( NCV)

2 Cor 3:14  But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. (NIV)

4 What is more, their minds were made stonelike; for to this day the same veil remains over them when they read the Old Covenant; it has not been unveiled, because only by the Messiah is the veil taken away.[18] (CJB)

1 John 2:27 “ But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you, but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things and is truth and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you  ye shall abide in him.”

1 John 2:27  But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, in your hearts, so that you don't need anyone to teach you what is right. For he teaches you all things, and he is the Truth, and no liar; and so, just as he has said, you must live in Christ, never to depart from him.  (TLB)

1 John 2:27  Christ gave you a special gift that is still in you, so you do not need any other teacher. His gift teaches you about everything, and it is true, not false. So continue to live in Christ, as his gift taught you.( NCV)

1 John 2:27  As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in him. (NIV)

27 As for you, the Messianic anointing you received from the Father remains in you, so that you have no need for anyone to teach you. On the contrary, as his Messianic anointing continues to teach you about all things, and is true, not a counterfeit, so, just as he taught you, remain united with him.[19] (CJB)

Colosians 1:19       “ For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell.”

Col 1:19  for God wanted all of himself to be in his Son. (TLB)

Col 1:19  God was pleased for all of himself to live in Christ. (NCV)

Col 1:19  For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,   (NIV)

19 For it pleased God to have his full being live in his Son[20] (CJB)

Ephesians 4:16 “ From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth  according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, making increase of the body and the edifying of itself in love.

Eph 4:16  Under his direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly, and each part in its own special way helps the other parts, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. (TLB)

Eph 4:16  The whole body depends on Christ, and all the parts of the body are joined and held together. Each part does its own work to make the whole body grow and be strong with love. (NCV)

16 Under his control, the whole body is being fitted and held together by the support of every joint, with each part working to fulfill its function; this is how the body grows and builds itself up in love.[21] (CJB)

11 Tim 1:9  “ Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling not according to our works but according to His own purpose and grace, which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity.”

2 Tim 1:9  It is he who saved us and chose us for his holy work not because we deserved it but because that was his plan long before the world began--to show his love and kindness to us through Christ. (TLB)

2 Tim 1:9  saved us and made us his holy people. That was not because of anything we did ourselves but because of God's purpose and grace. That grace was given to us through Christ Jesus before time began, (NCV)

2 Tim 1:9  who has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,  (NIV)

9 since he delivered us and called us to a life of holiness as his people. It was not because of our deeds, but because of his own purpose and the grace which he gave to us who are united with the Messiah Yeshua. He did this before the beginning of time,[22] (CJB)

11 Tim 1:13  “ Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.”

2 Tim 1:13  Follow the pattern of true teachings that you heard from me in faith and love, which are in Christ Jesus. (NCV)

2 Tim 1:13  What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

13 Follow the pattern of the sound teachings you have heard from me, with trust and the love which is yours in the Messiah Yeshua.[23] (CJB)

Ephesians 2:13  “ But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”

Eph 2:13  But now you belong to Christ Jesus, and though you once were far away from God, now you have been brought very near to him because of what Jesus Christ has done for you with his blood. (TLB)

Eph 2:13  But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away from God are brought near through the blood of Christ's death.( NCV)

Eph 2:13  But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. (NIV)

13 But now, you who were once far off have been brought near through the shedding of the Messiah’s blood. [24] (CJB)

Ephesians 3:6 “ To be specific that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the Gospel”

Eph 3:6  And this is the secret: that the Gentiles will have their full share with the Jews in all the riches inherited by God's sons; both are invited to belong to his Church, and all of God's promises of mighty blessings through Christ apply to them both when they accept the Good News about Christ and what he has done for them. (TLB)

Eph 3:6  This is that secret: that through the Good News those who are not Jews will share with the Jews in God's blessing. They belong to the same body, and they share together in the promise that God made in Christ Jesus. (NCV)

Eph 3:6  This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

6 that in union with the Messiah and through the Good News the Gentiles were to be joint heirs, a joint body and joint sharers with the Jews in what God has promised[25] (CJB)

Galatiens 3:28  “ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man there is neither male nor female for you are all in Christ Jesus”

Gal 3:28  We are no longer Jews or Greeks or slaves or free men or even merely men or women, but we are all the same--we are Christians; we are one in Christ Jesus.(TLB)

[i]

Gal 3:28  In Christ, there is no difference between Jew and Greek, slave and free person, male and female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus.( NCV)

Gal 3:2-6-28

26 For in union with the Messiah, you are all children of God through this trusting faithfulness; 27 because as many of you as were immersed into the Messiah have clothed yourselves with the Messiah, in whom 28 there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor freeman, neither male nor female; for in union with the Messiah Yeshua, you are all one. 29 Also, if you belong to the Messiah, you are seed of Avraham and heirs according to the promise.[26] (CJB)
